House Prices Rise For the First Time in Two Years

Spring is on the way, in the UK housing market, at least!

The ONS (Office for National Statistics) have reported an increase in average property prices for every region of the UK, including the North West, for the first time in almost two years.

Property price growth is currently strongest across Yorkshire and the Humber and the East Midlands, with price growth across London at its highest level since October 2017.

There was also a notable increase in buyer demand across the UK in January, while both market appraisals and new instructions are also on the up, according to both RICS and Rightmove.

At the moment demand for properties is outpacing supply, and that’s certainly our experience. Here at JDG we have received offers on 61 properties so far this year, and we have plenty more active buyers looking for their next home.
