This week we have been chatting about Sprouts in the office. It is after all Christmas week! John – aka Mr JDG and also my husband loves them. I hate them. The team are very mixed about it. Cassie though has suggested roasting them – I might try that!
Our research team told us that the UK Brussel Sprout Industry is valued at £650 million per year. Someone certainly loves their sprouts! It got us all thinking. How many homes could you buy if we all sacrificed our sprouts?
The figures above are for the UK market. We thought let’s look closer to home in Morecambe. Here are the results…
- You could buy 2079 detached homes
- Or 3629 semi detached homes
- Or 4273 terrace houses
- Or 5683 apartments (if there were that many to buy!)
Now we are not suggesting giving up your Brussel Sprout this Christmas, but it does make you think doesn’t it!
