In the investment world, property is still the best investment you can make. It outstrips both gold and the FTSE 100, not just over a 12-month period, but also longer term. As you can see on the graph above, over the past 10 years, the value of property has jumped by a whopping 65%. It is certainly a great long-term investment.
Of course, all investments are subject to economic fluctuations but, at present, demand for property remains higher than in the pre-pandemic market of 2019 and stock levels are still low. It’s going to be interesting seeing what happens as the Autumn sets in and the cost of living takes hold. What we do know, is that long-term, property still can’t be beaten!
