As it’s December our marketing team thought it would be fun to share some Christmas Facts with the team!
Today’s fact is that 85% of all property sales across the UK in 2021 were houses. It is thought that this is mainly due to the “race for space” and desire for some private outside space. This is the highest proportion in 25 years.
Closer to home in Lancaster, this figure stands at 87%

In Morecambe it is even higher at 89%!

Now, this doesn’t mean that flats and apartments don’t sell they just haven’t been as sought after in the current housing boom. Almost 1 in 5 properties in Lancaster are actually flats/apartments. In Morecambe, flats and apartments account for almost 1 in 4 properties.
