JDG Estate Agents brings home one of the property industry’s most highly regarded and top awards

If you are not on social media, you may have failed to notice the exciting day Michelle Gallagher documented as 4 of the Lancaster and Morecambe team headed down to London to collect their top award at the glamorous property awards.

This year’s Best Agent awards were hosted at Battersea Evolution where Josh Heron and his letting team won a BEST ESTATE AGENT AWARD for their lettings performance ranking them in the top 3% of all estate agents in the UK.

This award is based on 3 key factors – Marketing,  Service and Results.   It’s a hard award to win as it is based on a series of mystery shops that span an 8 month period.

As an estate agent, our main job in lettings is to ensure the wealth of our landlords.   Many landlords buy a property to be their pension in the future.  Others are thinking of their children’s future, a vehicle which will help fund university, weddings,  possible a deposit for their first home.  For some, it is their main business.

To simplify it – landlords have two main concerns.  Will my tenant pay the rent and will my property be looked after?   This is something Josh and his team excel at.

Of course, it is not just about the landlord.  How the tenant is looked after is also hugely important.  Tenants are looking for a home,  even if it is just for the next 6-12 months.   The quality of the property and how quickly a letting agent sorts out repairs is hugely important and can have a big impact on if a tenant stays or choose to go.   Again it is something Josh and his team take great care over.

The theme of the event in London this year was all about the human connection and the importance of how a customer really feels.   Rightmove (the principle partner)  shared some great insights as to what the consumer is really looking for.  There was a series of speakers and some of the world’s best industry trainers were present.   It was a day of learning as well as a day of celebration.

Josh sums up what the award means to him  –  “It is a privilege to have come in the top 3% of agents in the country. After only 3 years in the job (2 as manager) the most important things across the industry, and indeed other industries, is the high level of customer service that needs to be in place. I am incredibly proud of my team and couldn’t have done it without the support of them, John and Michelle and of course Boots! Human connection starts with your team and then expands out to all of our fantastic clients”

Josh is supported in his team by Claire Bulmer (Lettings Negotiator),  Hazel Hardie (Marketing Specialist) and Sarah Horn (Lettings Viewer).
