Today a local property owner has called me, asking me at what price can I have him buyer a quickly. His one bed apartment has been up for sale for over 12 months with another agent. Initially it was his home. He’s since rented out and he’s had little choice but to rent in his new town ( he moved for work ).
His story is quite common. He needs to sell his flat in order to buy on. Now his partner is expecting his first child and he’d like to be able to buy a house he has seen. He needs to sell it in the next 7 days.
We’ve looked at his details. It’s been on the market just over £100K. He actually paid £110,000. It would rent easily for £500 pcm. If I was appraising it today, with all its character, I’d suggest £550pcm.
So how much will buy it? He’s said he’ll take the best offer over £80K that can move on it quickly!
