This week our marketing team have been looking closely at what is happening in the rental market and giving our lettings team the gentle reminder that they are about to enter into their busiest time of the year – which just happens to be compounded by the pent up demand following on from lockdown. I don’t think however they needed reminding!
On an average week we receiving over 100 requests to view properties. People really do want to get moved!
Anyway, analytics received from our research time show that 40% of current tenancies are set to expect in July, August and September.
Usually, the surge in activity is a combination of students seeking accommodation, graduates starting new jobs and families looking to settle into new homes for the next academic year. Post lockdown other factors will influence home movers; more green space, closer to friends and family and the need for a home office!
If you have a property to let or are thinking of buying for investment, now is a great time. The demand is high and great rents are being achieved. We have just let a beutiful 3 bed Victorian home for more than we were asking!
